GO MATT!

First off, well done to Matt Lewis in the IM Melbourne 70.3 last weekend. Ninth in the pro field in a scorching 3:52:06. Looking really good for Busselton next month Matt!

ILUKA THIS SUNDAY

Don’t forget to register for group training at Iluka THIS Sunday, November 20.

Come and join us for a swim, ride, and run in beautiful Booderee with the option of retiring for coffee or heading off for more training afterwards.

Juniors will also be enjoying a tri training session after the seniors so bring the family along.

A reminder that all participants must register and have a Booderee pass as part of the conditions of our permit. We also need volunteers to help out with marshalling so let us know if you, or someone attending with you, can help.

WHAT: Tri training, short and longer course options or mix and match.
WHEN: Sunday Nov. 20.
TIME: 8am start for seniors, around 9;15 for juniors. Please arrive early to set up and sign on so we can start at 8!
WHERE: Iluka Car Park in Booderee National Park.

CHRISTMAS TRAINING SESSION

With Callala Triathlon falling on the third Sunday in December, we have decided to have a Christmas get-together/training session at Huskisson on December 10. The plan is to join Park Run in our club kit at 8am then stay on for a 1km swim at Husky beach (2km if you’re keen) and a BBQ brunch. We figure our longer course members can slip in a bike ride before the run as well!

We will need numbers closer to the date for catering but put it in your calendar now. Juniors are also invited for the run (or part of) and a supervised swim. Marty may even show off his new coaching skills by demonstrating his beach start and run-up moves.

DECEMBER BREWERY RUN

The next Summer Brewery Run will be on December 7. Meet in front of Jervis Bay Brewery at 6pm and join us for a 5-6 km run followed by drinks at the Brewery. Run with the group or make a time trial of it. 5 Little Pigs is now catering at the Brewery so why not grab dinner while you’re there.

Join us for the run, drinks, or both.

INTERCLUB SERIES

Thanks to the brilliant efforts of everyone who fronted up at Little Husky, JB Tri gained the maximum 30 points in the Interclub race. That’s double Kiama’s 15 so well done all!!

The next race on the calendar is Callala on December 17. Don’t forget that Emo, Tracey and the team at ELITE ENERGY are generously offering discounted race entry to all financial JB members.

You can earn Performance Points for the Club by competing in either the Sprint or Standard distance. While 15 points is a great lead, the new scoring system means the scores are likely to be more volatile this year so we need another strong showing.

Remember you must get your discount code BEFORE entering.

EE is also looking for volunteers to help out at Callala. So if you’re not racing, or you have friends or family coming with you who can help out, please contact EE to offer your help.
